This set came up "accidentally" today but the message is appropriate. February 22 has been a bad day for me in my dissociated life. Words were written beneath this on Polyvore indicating some things were worth fighting for. When I recall what used to happen on this date, healing was definitely worth the painful journey and always swimming upstream.

Healing through images

In going through one of my many storage containers of pictures ripped from magazines, plastic folders of images that seemed to go together, collages that were never figured out, images of insiders...perps...and other victims (?), I was reminded how much art was and remains an amazing part of my healing process. My subconscious life in pictures in boxes. Although most survivor "art" is revealing trauma, I did love seeing alters as they grew up and/or healed.

Even though what worked for me may not work for other survivors, I created this blog to share some of what was revealed to me through images and collages. It's possible what I display will make no sense to others, especially since the only way they connected or had meaning was when I was told from the inside...that aha moment and freaky triggering that's actually a good thing.

I would like to reinforce that my messages do not necessarily mean the same thing for any other survivor. No one else can give meaning to your art except you. Welcome to my world of artistic genious―not mine―my inner wisdom and internal guidance.
